Project Turbo GTO - 12/10 - COMPLETED
We were brought this 2006 Pontiac GTO for a complete, custom turbo kit. The customer wanted about 500hp and simplicity. He enabled us to chose the proper parts to make it all happen and we went to work!
We wanted to make sure to deliver the power and performance that the customer wanted and fortunately, we've got some great friends in this business that helped along the way. We knew that we needed a turbocharger with good street spool characteristics and longevity.
We turned to our friend David Hall at Bullseye Power. We decided that the Bullseye S372 would be perfect for our needs. The Extended Tip Turbocharger gave us the proper size for fitment and performance! Needless to say, it was perfect for what we needed.
We have the turbo, now it's time to get the parts to make it work properly. We turned to our friend Marty at Turbosmart USA. He got us a 45mm Hypergate External Wastegate and Race Port Blow off Valve. These parts worked perfectly right out of the box and have given rock solid boost control. They really accent the engine bay, too.
With the parts all together, Hendrik got to work! The front mount intercooler was mounted behind the modified crash bar, the intercooler piping was made of light weight aluminum and the exhaust parts are all 304SS!
The cross over tubes were fabbed up and it was a tight squeeze! We got the turbo all mounted up and go to work on the down pipe, another very tight squeeze. Hendrik made quick work of the down pipe and was able to make it all fit without any points of contact and no contact under load. We then sent out all of the exhaust/turbo hardware off for coating!

The end result was 500whp at 6.5psi! The customer is happy, we're proud of the work that we did and we're looking forward to growing with the customer and build.

The customer wanted about 500. This put us at a good starting point. This way he can used the power and we can proceed with the further modification to fill whatever need he has from here. This would eat up the new Camaro and Vette with out a problem.
